Did Orlando Bloom Ask for an Epidural While Miranda Kerr Was Giving Birth?

Did Orlando Bloom Ask for an Epidural While Miranda Kerr Was Giving Birth?

Natural childbirth is often tough on the mother -- but, as Orlando Bloom learned recently, it's also hard on the baby's father. When Bloom's wife, Aussie supermodel Miranda Kerr, gave birth to their son Flynn in January, she was determined to go without drugs. But when Kerr's labor pains became unbearable, Bloom reportedly requested an epidural -- for himself!

"I had made the decision to not have any drugs, no epidural, nothing," Kerr, 28, told Australian TV show Sunday Night, adding, "And to each to their own. Like, I'm crazy for doing that."

But Orlando, 34, wasn't as strong-willed as Miranda.

"He said, 'Give me the epidural!'" Kerr said with a laugh. "'Seriously, if you don't want it, I'll take it because right now I'm dying watching you go through this pain.'"

After a grueling 27 hours of labor -- during which Kerr was in so much pain that she thought she might die -- she gave birth to baby Flynn, who was an enormous 9 pounds, 12 ounces. He's still a big, healthy boy -- and totally adorable. Kerr frequently brings him to work, and says she doesn't use a nanny at home. But when it comes to the question of expanding her family, the Victoria's Secret model hesitates.

"I always thought I would have three," she says. "Right now I'm just trying to enjoy Flynn. They say the first three years are the most important, so I want to make sure that he gets the attention and the nurturing and love that he really needs. So we'll see what happens."
