With relief efforts in desperate need of more and more resources, Josh Duhamel led the way during a star-studded Japan relief charity beach run in Santa Monica, California on Sunday (March 27).
Joined by his Black Eyed Peas bride Stacy ?Fergie? Ferguson (who also happened to be celebrating her 36th birthday), the "Transformers" stud organized the Tokidoki Youth Relief Run after witnessing the devastation caused by an earthquake and tsunami hitting the country earlier this month.
As for the fundraising, all entrants were asked to pay $10 to participate with Duhamel calling on people of all ages to take part in the two-mile (3.2 kilometre) sprint to boost donations for the American Red Cross' Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami fund.
Opting to join in on the proper cause were thousands of civilians along with "Glee" actress Dianna Agron and socialite sisters Paris and Nicky Hilton.
Taking to Twitter after the run, Duhamel happily wrote, "We did it! 4,000+ people pack the beach! The youth of LA mobilized & should be proud. All of u that donated should be proud. Much love..JD."
