Katie Couric?s daughter impressed by mom?s Glee role

Her mother may be a world famous news anchorwoman, but the coveted position isn?t enough for 14-year-old Carrie Couric. The teenager is more impressed by mom Katie?s upcoming cameo on the Fox hit musical comedy, Glee. ?She actually thought I was kind of cool for the first time in two years!? Katie told In Touch at the Hollywood Reporter?s Power 100: Women in Entertainment breakfast in Beverly Hills. The CBS Evenings News hostess, who also has a 19-year-old daughter, Ellie, will reportedly appear in a February Glee episode, donning ?a lot of bangles and a top hat and a cane,? she says.
