Thirty years ago, moviegoers were stunned when Darth Vader revealed in "Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back" that he was Luke Skywalker's father. On Tuesday (December 28), however, there was no surprise when the venerable sci-fi flick was selected by the Library of Congress to be added to the National Film Registry, according to The Associated Press.
The honor recognizes the iconic 1980 movie for being artistically, culturally or historically significant. A copy of the original film will be preserved by the registry at the Packard Campus of the National Audio-Visual Conservation Center in Culpeper, Virginia, for future generations.
"The Empire Strikes Back" was produced by "Star Wars" auteur George Lucas but directed by Irvin Kershner. It was joined by 24 other films; more than 2,500 were nominated. The John Travolta-powered disco vehicle "Saturday Night Fever," the Watergate drama "All the President's Men" and Spike Lee's biopic "Malcolm X" were among the popular titles to make the cut.
The films will be added to a library that includes upwards of 550 titles, including Lucas' "American Graffiti" and the first installment of "Star Wars." Comedies including "The Pink Panther" and "Airplane!" were also selected by Librarian of Congress James H. Billington, who has picked every film in the registry since its inception in 1989. "Airplane!" is a hilarious spoof of disaster movies that starred Leslie Nielsen, who died less than a month ago at the age of 84.

'I am not officially signed onto any other projects,' model tweets following reports that she will star in 'Dogs in Pocketbooks.'
By Terri Schwartz
Lydia Hearst Shaw
Photo: Michael Kovac/FilmMagic
Lydia Hearst Shaw is doing her best to separate herself from the controversy building around the upcoming film "Dogs in Pocketbooks." Screenwriter Charles Casillo announced Monday that he had hired Hearst Shaw as the lead in his satire on the life of Lindsay Lohan (and, apparently, other starlets). But after Lohan's mother Dina lashed out and threatened to sue over the project, Shaw took to her Twitter to clarify that she is not involved in the film.
"Just so we are all clear.. My hair is Red because I am the new face of Schwarzkopf color. I am a model. I dyed my hair to front the campaign," she tweeted. "As for any theatrical roles I am currently filming Two Jacks directed by Bernard Rose. My next project is Catwalk by Tony Hickox.. Thank you all for your messages of encouragement during my transition to acting. I truly love and appreciate it. At this time I am not officially signed onto any other projects."
The role Shaw would have played was that of a "bratty movie goddess in and out of rehab, in trouble with the law, and hounded by greedy agents, predatory paparazzi, off-the-wall stalkers and crazed media." Though Casillo had originally compared the character to Lohan by saying it was "in no way mean-spirited toward Lindsay," he retracted his statement Tuesday (December 28) and said the comparison was "totally blown out of proportion." Instead, the character is allegedly an amalgamation of Lohan, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Marilyn Monroe and Jean Harlow.
When announcing he had chosen Hearst Shaw as the lead, Casillo said, "She's one of the few supermodels who can actually act. She's smart, well-read, charming and very beautiful. We looked at a lot of actresses for this role, and I was really knocked out." But now it looks like he will have to go back to some of those other actresses for his leading lady and see if any of them are still interested.
Dina Lohan threatened to take legal action against the project, like she did E-Trade, and when TMZ spoke with Lohan family lawyer Stephanie Ovadia, she said the family has a "very strong case."
"They are again using [Lindsay's] likeness without her being compensated," Ovadia said. "Not only that, but they are advertising the fact they are using her likeness. Anyone bringing negativity will be dealt with accordingly."

Gory video features Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, and images of decapitated women and zombies feasting on flesh.

The lyrics to Kanye West's all-star track "Monster" are full of dark images of bloodsuckers, dead hands, the devil, sarcophagi, ghouls, goblins, murder, fangs and Chucky from "Child's Play."
And though he's not often one to take such a literal path in the imagery that accompanies his songs, a leaked version of the unfinished video for West's "Monster" lives up to the gruesome, blood-drenched lyrical barbs served up in the song by Yeezy, Rick Ross, Jay-Z and Nicki Minaj. The fuller version is in keeping with the gory glimpses seen in late November when a preview leaked online.
At press time, West had not commented on the leak, but online hip-hop communities were abuzz about the transgressive nature of the images in the five-minute clip. It opens with the disturbing sight of several woman in lingerie and high heels hanging from nooses around Ross as he sits on a throne and smokes a cigar, then switches to a scene of West being groped by the hands of unseen women reaching through a metal gate.
As he raps about "the best living or dead, hands down, huh?" West pops up shirtless on a bed with electric-blue sheets next to two hollow-eyed women in lingerie. They appear to be dead as he positions their limp arms around each other. What follows are scenes in which a woman in a designer dress drags a lifeless man's body across the floor and then draws blood as she steps on his chest with her spiked heels.
The clip, which borrows heavily from monster and horror movie tropes seen in such films as "Saw," "Night of the Living Dead" and "American Psycho," depicts Kanye in a mansion trying to hold back a horde of zombie attackers, dead women splayed out on dinner tables, a zombie couple feasting on a bloody corpse, glowing-eyed ghoulies crawling down halls, Jay-Z rapping in a crisp suit in front of a dead naked woman draped face-down on a leather couch, and West standing in cowboy gear while holding a woman's severed head.
Amidst all these graphic images of decapitated and dismembered female forms comes a scene in which Nicki, wearing black leather bondage gear and wielding a leather riding crop, engages in a psychological showdown with herself. She's seen riding herd over a hooded figure in a white wedding dress strapped to an executioner's chair, wielding a long, sharp sword. Once the hood is removed, it's clear that Minaj is confronting her pink-wigged Barbie alter ego as the two sides of her personality engage in a death match that swings from a lap dance to seeming threats of murder.
The flesh feast ends with glimpses of a female werewolf in black teddy and rocking bushy grey muttonchops dancing in front of a fire, West cuddling in bed with his deceased female companions and pale hands reaching out from behind a door.
No release date has been announced for the official version of the "Monster" video.

Beyoncé in her ad for Heat
Photo: Coty UK
Beyoncé caused a bit of controversy last week with her red-hot commercial for her latest fragrance, Heat. The ad was banned from daytime rotation in the U.K. thanks to its steamy images of Beyoncé. When the singer and her mom, Tina Knowles, stopped by "The View" on Monday (November 22), she seemed happy about the outcome.
"I think it was very good, because a lot of people went and watched the commercial," she said. "And it upped my sales."
Beyoncé not only had a good-natured laugh about the response to her ad, but she also poked fun at her ever-present wind machine, explaining why she seems to always have one on hand during her performances. "Where's the wind coming from? It started out only [to stay cool], and then it kind of created this effect with my hair," she explained. "You can only imagine, the show is two and a half hours. It's really, really warm onstage."
While B didn't dish about life with her hubby, Jay-Z, she did reveal that she's a bit messy at home, despite being so together when she hits the red carpet. "Well, I think because I work really hard," she said. "When I'm home, I don't want to think about it."
Beyoncé seemed a bit more comfortable when it came to giving a shout-out to Jay-Z for making an appearance on her concert special, "I Am ... World Tour," which premieres on Thursday night at 9:30 p.m. ET on ABC. She recounted how Hova surprised the audience by joining her onstage in Rio de Janeiro. "We talked about it; we knew he was in town," she said. "Kanye, as well. He was in town that night."

It was hard to shake the haunting image of model Isabelle Caro in the controversial 2007 anti-anorexia campaign, in which a nude Caro was rumored to weigh only 68 pounds at the time.
Now, sadly, while that shocking photo lives on, Caro does not. It was reported on Wednesday by People that the model/actress passed away at the age of 28 after battling the disease since she was 13 years old.
While the news of her death was only announced this week, Caro's acting coach Daniele Dubreuil-Prevot, revealed she had actually died on Nov. 17, after just having returned from a shoot in Tokyo. Dubreuil-Prevot said that Caro "had been sick for a long time."
Caro's famous image for the "No Anorexia" campaign (which was done by Italian photographer Oliviero Toscani) was displayed on billboards and newspapers and garnered a lot of heat from the fashion industry.
PopEater.com reports that at that time designer Giorgio Armani, speaking out against the connection between eating disorders and the fashion industry, argued that, "even people who take no notice of fashion get anorexic."
Still, others had a profound reaction and connection to Caro, including Jessica Simpson, who had her on her VH1 self-esteem reality show The Price of Beauty. Caro spoke openly about her battle with anorexia and body image, a moment that brought Simpson, and undoubtedly countless viewers, to tears.
Leave your condolences for Isabelle Caro and her friends and family below.

As fellow Cash Money affiliates Lil Wayne, B.G., Juvenile, Mack Maine and Baby made their way into the Fifth African Baptist Church in New Orleans on Thursday morning (December 30), hundreds of fans gathered outside the church to pay tribute to fallen hometown rapper Magnolia Shorty.
In addition to Weezy and his crew, a number of other local bounce artists made their presence felt at the funeral, including Partners-N-Crime, Kilo G, DJ Jubilee, Big Freeda and Ms. Tee, who was the first female artist to sign with Cash Money, followed by Shorty in 1995, who was the label's second, and last, female member.
The closed funeral began at 11 a.m., and while more than 1,000 friends and relatives packed into the brick house of worship, the street outside was overflowing with nearly 1,500 fans paying tribute to the bounce legend. Many were wearing shirts in praise of Shorty (born Renetta Lowe), 28, with messages such as "R.I.P. Magnolia Shorty" and "We Love You Renetta," as well as buttons that read "Forever 'Shorty.' "
Wayne, Birdman and Mack Maine tweeted their condolences in the wake of Shorty's murder last week, but on Thursday, it was former Cash Money rapper and Hot Boyz member B.G. who remembered his fallen comrade after the funeral.
"Magnolia Shorty was like a sister to me and it ain't just what she meant to me; it's what she meant to Louisiana, it's what she meant to New Orleans," B.G. told MTV News, noting that he was the one who brought Shorty into the Cash Money fold when she was just 12 years old. "She was the queen of bounce. She was someone you loved to be around. She was the best at what she do. I'm really speechless right now, but it ain't sunk in yet. ... She owned this city, but she was this close to ownin' the world."
The program for the service featured a photo of Shorty under the headline "A Homegoing Celebration for a Phenomenal Queen." Shorty was gunned down last Monday alongside an unidentified man in a vehicle that crashed near a New Orleans East housing complex. Her murder came seven years after the November 2003 killing of another New Orleans rapper, James "Soulja Slim" Tapp, whose original stage name was Magnolia Slim and who grew up with Shorty in the Magnolia housing projects and gave her the Magnolia Shorty stage name.
The funeral was to be followed by a traditional New Orleans second line celebration in which her casket was be paraded down the street accompanied by musicians, friends, family and supporters.
Share your memories of Magnolia Shorty in the comments.

It seems as though Natalie Portman has had a most festive holiday season, both on professional and personal levels. Not only is her film "Black Swan" garnering rave reviews and award nominations galore ("Swan" received four Golden Globe nominations, among others), but the petite actress recently became engaged to boyfriend Benjamin Millepied, with whom she is expecting her first child.
"I have always kept my private life private but I will say that I am indescribably happy and feel very grateful to have this experience," Portman gushed in a statement to Entertainment Weekly.
Portman and Millepied met during production of "Black Swan," for which Millepied was the choreographer and played the role of Portman's dancing partner. The two have remained quiet about their relationship, but reportedly started dating in early 2010. Millepied told Details magazine he was "blown away" by her acting abilities and that she was "amazing to watch," but didn't go into any details about their relationship. "It's ... everybody's asking us," he said. "We just want to keep things to ourselves."
The 29-year-old's baby is due sometime in 2011. In addition to her inevitable awards season appearances, Portman has several movies coming out in the new year, including "No Strings Attached" with Ashton Kutcher, "Your Highness" opposite Zooey Deschanel and James Franco, and summer blockbuster "Thor."
Portman's happy news comes at the same time as other romantic celebrity announcements including Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz's stepping out publicly as a couple and the engagements of LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian and Ginnifer Goodwin and Joey Kern.

Disney starlet was rumored to be up for a role in the all-star superhero film.

Demi Lovato still has her 2011 touring plan, but one gig the teen sensation doesn't have on her agenda is a starring role in "The Avengers." Contrary to reports, the 18-year-old singer/actress will not be featured in the film about a team of Marvel superheroes, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
THR reports that sources inside Lovato's and Marvel's camps are "denying across the board" that the "Camp Rock" star is involved in any way in the all-star comic book adaptation, which is tentatively due in 2012. Part of the difficulty in hiring the actress is that the Joss Whedon-directed film will begin shooting in spring 2011 and the starlet is still undergoing her medical treatment for "emotional and physical issues."
Despite the circulating Lovato rumor, Marvel may still be on the lookout for another female actress to join the male-heavy cast. As of now, "The Avengers" superhero lineup includes Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Samuel Jackson (Nick Fury), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Chris Evans (Captain America), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor).
Things have been looking up for the "Sonny With a Chance" star. Not only did the songstress come to an agreement with dancer Alex Welch, whom she allegedly punched before leaving her joint tour with the Jonas Brothers, but the Disney star was also able to spend some time with her family on Christmas Day. She was spotted with her family on the holiday getting food near her treatment facility in Woodridge, Illinois.

When NBA star Gilbert Arenas was traded to the Orlando Magic this month, he didn't just leave behind the Washington Wizards. He also abandoned his pregnant girlfriend and three children.
A publicist for Laura Govan tells The Washington Post that the guard's baby mama "has not heard from Arenas the whole month of December." He reportedly left his family "with no money to purchase food or Christmas gifts."
Arenas actually seemed to acknowledge his irresponsible behavior, telling the newspaper soon after the trade: "I went to the airport and left. I didn't have a chance to say bye to anybody. I didn't even say bye to the kids."
Govan - who is the sister of Basketball Wives star Gloria Govan - and Arenas have had a rocky nine-year relationship.
They've broken up numerous times, she's been accused of having an affair with Shaquille O'Neal and she's currently knocked up with her and Gilbert's fourth child.
Overall, we know Arenas likes to call himself as Agent Zero, but we always thought that was a reference to his uniform number. Not his number of morals.

Bridges calls the 14-year-old actress' performance 'remarkable.'
By Terri Schwartz
With the Coen brothers' "True Grit" making its way into theaters this week, all eyes likely will be turning to newcomer Hailee Steinfeld, who plays the film's young leading lady, Mattie Ross. In her first major role, the 14-year-old actress ultimately has to carry the first portion of the movie, and her performance has been garnering some serious buzz during this awards season. When MTV News caught up with Steinfeld's co-star Jeff Bridges while he was promoting "True Grit," he said he was impressed by the intensity of her performance while they were filming on set.
"What a tough, challenging role for a seasoned actor. All that dialogue, kind of tricky way of speaking. Thirteen-year-old girl, never been in a movie, and she comes up with that performance," Bridges gushed. "Isn't that remarkable?"
Steinfeld found herself surrounded by a full cast and crew of cinema veterans. The Coen brothers won an Oscar for directing 2008's "No Country for Old Men" and have been nominated two other times, Bridges took home a Best Actor Oscar for his role in last year's "Crazy Heart," and Matt Damon and Josh Brolin both have received Academy Award nods in acting categories in the past. But Bridges said Steinfeld didn't need any acting tips from himself or any of the other castmembers.
"I might have slipped out a tip once or twice, and I always regret when I would do that. It's almost like a reflex action — you can't help but put yourself into the other actor's position sometimes," he explained. "I always appreciate a tip from some guy, one of the other players, but no, I let her run free. The brothers directed her beautifully."
With all the buzz Steinfeld has been getting for her "True Grit" performance, she now is one of the main actresses being looked at to play another strong female character: Katniss Everdeen in "The Hunger Games." When Steinfeld spoke with MTV recently while promoting "True Grit," she said it "would definitely be an honor" to even be considered for the Katniss role.
"I didn't even realize that people were mentioning my name," she said. "It's every actor's dream to be recognized for something that they love to do, and to get recognized for that is pretty amazing. I thank the people out there who think that."
Check out everything we've got on "True Grit."

'I think he'll identify with it so much,' Dorff says about his friend and onetime co-star.
By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz
Ever since they shared screen time in the 1997 heist flick "Blood and Wine," actors Stephen Dorff and Jack Nicholson have remained close friends. Their relationship may not necessarily be "bromance" territory, but it's close enough that Dorff has shared his career ups and downs with the Oscar winner, and asked for his advice over the years. When MTV News caught up with Dorff recently to talk about his critically acclaimed new film "Somewhere" — a role that he called the most challenging of his career — he said he thinks the flick is one Nicholson will really enjoy.
"I think he's going to really love this movie because to me it's a film that isn't made anymore today," Dorff explained. "It's such a character piece and I think he'll identify with it so much.
Dorff revealed that he already got a big thumbs-up from Nicholson after "Somewhere" took home the top prize at Italy's Venice Film Festival in September.
"After we won Venice, I remember telling him how excited I was," he recalled. "And he's like, 'Way to go, Dorff!' "
We then brought up the fact that Nicholson has taken several actors under his wing over the years — pointing out to Dorff that the Hollywood legend had taken an interest in "Mad Men" actress January Jones when she was first starting out.
"Well, he takes an interest in a lot of women, let's be honest," Dorff responded with a chuckle. "He definitely took me under his wing. I think it's rare for Jack to take a young guy under his wing — he's not hanging out with too many guys.
"He did do that with Sean Penn and he's definitely given me great advice over the years," Dorff added. "I always feel like I have him as a friend and he'll show up if he can. And he's always been my favorite actor, so for me, he's a friend, and it's nice to get a little starstruck still. It keeps me remembering who I am and where I am, and Jack's still somebody that makes me a little nervous."
If Dorff has his way, he and his buddy Jack will take their friendship to the big screen via a comedy the younger actor is hoping to make with Adam Sandler's production company.
"It's a very funny comedy idea for me and him set in the South of France," Dorff told the UK's Independent newspaper last month. "We're not in script form yet but I wrote the treatment and they've already bought it so as soon as I get a break from working, I'll turn that into a script and I'll go and tell Jack. ... And I'll get Sony to give him his $15 million and then we'll go and make the movie — because he likes money."

Reality star calls her model ex 'the worst thing that ever happened to me.'

Despite the overwhelming evidence of celebrity love in the air, what with all the recent engagements and weddings, there are a few folks out there who haven't had as happy a holiday.
Case in point, Kelly Osbourne, who has taken to Twitter with a flurry of tweets that aired a bit of dirty laundry between the "Dancing With the Stars" alum and her ex-fiancé, model Luke Worrall.
"Wow just found something out that has hurt my feelings so bad," Osbourne tweeted vaguely, adding a frown-face emoticon late Saturday. "And christmas was going so well... What do you do when someone lies in the darkest way and you try to tell the person that was lied 2 but they don't believe you?"
The vagueness disappeared when Osbourne's tweets changed from an outpouring of sadness and wounded feelings to a profanity-laced attack against her former flame's character.
"@Luke_worrall is the biggest piece of sh-- he has been trying to get back w/ me I only came home for Xmas to see him mean while he has been...F---ing 100's of girls as [well] as men behind my back all he did was use me all girls beware of @Luke_worrall he is a using C---!"
The reality star's wrath didn't end there. She called Worrall "the worst thing that ever happened to me" and accused the 21-year-old of using her for her money and a "free ride."
Osbourne ended the Twi-rade by promising to sign off the micro-blogging site for a bit: "Dont think I have ever felt so stupid he made a fool of me going to be off Twitter for a while never felt heart brake like this in my life."
Osbourne, 26, and Worrall's romance started out in the fairy-tale realm. They became engaged in November 2008 after dating for just six months, but it became more of a fractured fairy tale earlier this year, with Osbourne calling off the engagement in July amid rumors of Worrall's alleged infidelity.

Nicki Minaj is on the cover of King Magazine. We've got the pics plus pieces of her interview when you read on...
The Harajuki Barbie graces the March/April issue of King magazine. She also talks about her aspirations to be a Hollywood actress. Shocker. Here's some of the interview.
KING: History has shown that acting is the likeliest transition for rappers. Considering your background, do you want to dabble in Hollywood?
NICKI MINAJ: "Of course."
What would be your dream role?
NICKI: "I’d like to play someone in a Tim Burton movie, where I get dressed up and painted and crazy."
You kind of do that now.
NICKI: "Then I want to be able to do some action stuff, like Angelina Jolie."
Like in Salt?
NICKI: "Yes! And then I’d like to just play a regular girl who, you know, is facing the world. Something really sentimental and organic, that girls all around the world can identify with. You know, how Jada Pinkett Smith did in Jason’s Lyric."
Classic film. You did mention earlier how everything has been time consuming. But when that time frees up, what kind of guy do you look for to be sentimental and organic with?
NICKI: "Um, I look for someone who is calm, someone who is strong enough to not have to win every argument, someone who allows a woman to be her crazy self and someone with a conscience not to feel less of a man. You know, someone who is able to honor his woman but also bring out the freak in his woman."
How should your Ken bring out the freak in you, Barbie?
NICKI: "Just being super aggressive when the time is right."
Are we talking about Mortal Kombat–style “Come here” aggression?
NICKI: "Just something that makes me feel like they’re in control, when we are behind closed doors."
Here's some pics from the photoshoot:
The new issue of King magazine hits stands in early January.

There's one thing we know for sure about TV in 2011: It's going to be a big year for talent competitions. Soldiering on without Simon Cowell next month, American Idol will try to hang onto its monster-hit ratings with new, superstar judges and a reconfigured format. Also kicking off in January is Paula Abdul's televised dance competition, Live to Dance. And later in the year, Cowell will launch the U.S. version of his British powerhouse of a singing competition, The X Factor.
Will that last show knock Idol out of the water? Will viewers tune into Live to Dance to see Abdul, or will dance fans stick with old standbys like Dancing with the Stars or So You Think You Can Dance? Will American Idol be able to hold onto its status as an unstoppable cultural phenomenon, even as its ratings have already begun to drop (albeit just a little)?
Here's a cheat-sheet on what each show has in store:
Premieres: Jan. 19
Latest promo: The usual stuff. Horrendous wannabe singers failing to hit notes, and the pained reactions of grimacing judges.
Judges: Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler
What's different from past Idol seasons: Well, obviously the two fresh judges! And producers are introducing some new, reality-TV-type elements, like a plan to film the contestants while living in a house together and on a road trip to Vegas.
Premieres: Jan. 4
Latest promo: An all glammed-up Abdul anchors the judging panel while dancers of all ages, both solo and in groups, perform in a competition that looks a lot like American Idol, the Dancing Version.
Judges: Abdul; choreographer Travis Payne; and singer/dancer Kimberly Wyatt
What's different from Idol: Perky Paula won't just judge, but will also mentor and guide contestants through the process. "[Contestants] can be anywhere from 6 to 106," Abdul told TV Guide.
Premieres: Sept. 2011
Latest promo: Oh, please, this isn't a real promo! No actual information is given about this show, which is the U.S. version of Cowell's hit singing competition in England. But this is, after all, the series that Cowell left Idol for. So maybe that's enough of a teaser.
Judges: Cowell and…we're about to find out. Cowell says he'll announce the names of his co-judges next month. Some names that have been tossed around but not confirmed: The Pussycat Dolls' Nicole Scherzinger, British pop singer Cheryl Cole and even George Michael.
What's different from Idol: There's hardly any age limit. The judges double as mentors, and they get judged, too. And there's some other aspects Cowell won't divulge. "I'm not going to tell people in advance what we're doing," Cowell told Deadline.com. "What I will say is that it will be like nothing else you've seen before on American TV, I guarantee you that." Wow. How could you not watch that? He's so crafty, that Simon.

"Teen Mom" stars baby Leah and Amber Portwood

"Teen Mom" star Amber Portwood pleaded not guilty Tuesday (December 28) to felony domestic battery and child neglect charges, TMZ reports.
Portwood, who was arrested Monday, is being held on $5,000 bail and is expected to be released later Tuesday. The state of Indiana has prohibited the 20-year-old from having any contact with her daughter, Leah, or the alleged victim, Gary Shirley.
During the last season of "Teen Mom," MTV cameras followed Portwood and three other young women in their quest to manage motherhood. Portwood's turbulent relationship with on-and-off fiancé Shirley, 24, reached a boiling point when she punched him in the face in front of their then-1-year-old, Leah. Additional episodes of the series displayed Portwood abusing Shirley both physically and verbally, twice with their child present. According to The Associated Press, Anderson, Indiana, police began investigating Portwood after a September episode of "Teen Mom" depicting an altercation.
According to CBS News, Portwood claimed that the events described in police documentation never occurred in front of Leah.
Portman agreed to be monitored by child protective services for six months in November. However, later that month, state officials charged the 20-year-old mother with three counts of domestic violence, due to her behavior on the series. In late November, Leah became a ward of the state of Indiana before returning to her mother shortly after.
During the reunion episode after season two of "Teen Mom," the 20-year-old mother opened up about her behavior on the series, saying, "I have no clue why I hurt Gary. I sort of do, but it's kind of beyond myself. I can't help myself. I have to get help and then help myself. I never notice how bad I am until I see it. And I feel so terrible. And it's like, did I really do that? The people who are around me, how do they feel? I don't remember it being that bad at the time. How did Gary feel? What the hell was I doing?"

'I am not officially signed onto any other projects,' model tweets following reports that she will star in 'Dogs in Pocketbooks.'

An unnamed source close to the Cougar Town star revealed to the magazine, "Both Jen and Courteney are tired after a long year. They celebrated Christmas [with] each other."
Cox, 46, had an especially tough 2010 after splitting with her husband of more than 11 years, David Arquette, with whom she has a 6-year-old daughter, Coco Arquette. The source goes on to say that Cox and Aniston, 40, "just focused on making things special for Coco" for Christmas.
This wasn't the first time this year Aniston (who spent Thanksgiving with her other close gal pal Chelsea Handler) went above and beyond for her BFF on a special day. This June, Aniston threw a 46th birthday bash for Cox, which included a lovely steak dinner.
While all seemed merry and bright for Cox, it seems her estranged husband Arquette, 39, could have used some extra cheer this holiday season. A different source told People that while the couple (who have been working together and being friendly with one another since their separation) have no concrete plans to divorce, Arquette still isn't happy about the way things are going.
The second source explains, "He's just not handling this situation well. He's really depressed. There was a moment when David thought they'd get back together but that doesn't seem like it will happen now and it's really tough on David."
