Scottie Pippen's Wife & More Gear Up For "Real Housewives of Miami", "Real Housewives of New York" Pushed Back!

Well what do we have here?  Just as I was getting uber excited for the Feb. 15th return of the "Real Housewives of New York" and all of Kelly Bensimon's candyland ass fairytales, we learn that the show has been pushed back.  And replaced by "The Real Housewives of Miami".  Who knew this was even in the making?

Deets on which MIA basketball wives are set for the Bravo foolery when you read on...

I guess Bravo heard folks' pleas about their lack of diversity across the board.  not just a lack of black folks outside the basic "Atlanta Housewives," but a lack of Latinas, Asians, middle eastern women, etc.

So, I guess the brand new "Real Housewives of Miami" is Bravo's answer.  No YBF Chicks.  But, of course, there's a few spicy Latinas.

The series premieres February 22nd.  And, now that the network has revealed the six newest stars via press release today, here's the run down of who's who (pictured left to right):

Alexia Echevarria is the executive editor of Venue magazine, where she covers fashion and celebrity culture. She lives on Miami Beach with her husband Herman and has two sons from a previous marriage.

Marysol Patton (who supposedly pitched this show) is a Miami native who runs her own PR firm, the Patton Group. A divorcee, Patton is known for throwing bashes around town and loves to spend time with her mother, Elsa, who considers herself a "seer" and offers spiritual guidance people in town.

Larsa Pippen is married to basketball star Scottie Pippen and was known as the "Hottest NBA wife." A mother of four, Pippen boasts that she's successful at everything she does.

Cristy Rice was recently divorced from NBA star Glen Rice. The show will follow her single life as she juggles business (she owns a clothing store) and being a single mom.

Lea Black has a 9-year-old son with her lawyer husband. A strong supporter of President Obama, the Texas-born Housewife is invested in her own charitable endeavors.

Adriana DeMoura-Sidi is fiery and flirtatious and ... newly engaged. Her personality lands her in trouble and the subject of much gossip among the ladies.

Both Scottie Pippen's and Glen Rice's (ex)wives?  Well this ought to be interesting.  Interestingly, word on the street back in March was that Larsa, Marysol, and Lea were all pitching a different show to Bravo tentatively called "The Miami Social Club."  Guess Bravo decided to pull a switcharoo and induct them into the Housewives franchise.

And if you're wondering WTF is going to happen to the "NYC Housewives," (their new promo pic is above), word has it they're pushed back till spring.  These Miami chicks are replacing them.  Weird since the promos for their Feb. 15th premiere date have been running all week on Bravo.

The folks over at ChicagoNow.com and Entertainment Weekly say that they viewed the first episode of "NYC Housewives," and it was underwhelming at best. But not as boring as "The Real Housewives of D.C."  Bethanny is only going to appear minimally on the show, as she has her own show, "Bethanny Ever After," airing soon on the network.

There are two new housewives, and not much drama.  Especially coming fresh off the fireworks of "Beverly Hills" and "Atlanta."

Damn homie.  All I know is--I'm serious about my "Housewives" shows.  So these Miami chicks better keep me entertained....
