Well, we figured The Good Wife (CBS, premiering Sunday, Sept. 4) would be going in a racier direction this season -- what with those promos urging us not to "let the name fool you." But during her Thursday night appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman (CBS, weeknights, 11:35 p.m. ET), Julianna Margulies further stoked the fire, hinting that the premiere episode is so downright "steamy" (her word, uttered twice) that she told her husband he shouldn't watch. Check out a clip from the interview below!
"My character has found herself in a hotel room with a man she has been in love with for a long time," Margulies explains. (Those who caught the season 2 finale saw Alicia entering a hotel room with her boss and old flame Will (Josh Charles), so presumably that's who she means.)
"The point is, it's the first time I've actually come home from work and said to my husband, 'You know, maybe you shouldn't watch the first episode,'" she admits. "'It might be just too steamy.'"
This has been a long time coming, so fans of Will and Alicia should be delighted, right? Well, not so fast. Looks like a wet blanket might quash all that steam soon enough, based on these clips from season 3, which aired on Entertainment Tonight.
Is Will having second thoughts? Sure seems that way. Oh, Alicia. Look what happens when you stop being good.
