Selena Gomez Is "Feeling Much Better" After Hospitalization

Selena Gomez Is "Feeling Much Better" After Hospitalization

After being rushed to the hospital due to nausea and a severe headache following her appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last Thursday, Selena Gomez appears to be on the mend and even back to work promoting her upcoming movie Monte Carlo.

"Feeling much better, thank you all for being so understanding," Gomez, 18, tweeted on Monday. "Can't wait to see you all today at Santa Monica Place for the Monte Carlo kick off," she wrote, referring to a live performance that she and her band The Scene are giving in support of the film. She also took to her official Facebook page to thank fans for their support. "I just wanted to say thank you so much for all of the get well wishes," she wrote. "I love you guys so much."

The singer stayed overnight in the hospital on Thursday to undergo a battery of routine tests. According to Us Weekly, one insider reports that Gomez was suffering from a mixture of food poisoning and exhaustion, although that has not been confirmed. Another insider tells E! Online that Gomez was "in and out" of the hospital over the weekend to undergo more tests, but now "feels stronger." TMZ, meanwhile, reports that Gomez was being test for "blood pressure-related issues -- and shoots down rumors that the teenage star might be pregnant.

The folks at The Tonight Show have praised Gomez professionalism. Even though she was already feeling sick, she gamely went through the interviews, giving no indication that moments later she would be rushed to the hospital. Another inside source says, "She did a backstage interview and hung out with Jim Carrey after the show. The Tonight Show people didn't even know she wasn't feeling well."

Let's hope the young star finds out what the problem is real soon! But in the meantime, at least Gomez has the support of her fans and boyfriend Justin Bieber. The Biebs tweeted "#getwellselena" on Friday, and even reportedly skipped the Stanley Cup Finals to be by his girl's side. Aww.
