EVENT FAB: Janelle Monae Honored By Essence+Solange Hosts Macy's Bar Pop-Up Store

Bad Boy chick Janelle Monae was honored by ESSENCE last night in L.A.  We've got the pics of all the fab folks who cam out to congratulate her--Letoya Luckett, Melanie Fiona, Diddy, Toccara, and more.  Plus, we've got pics from the fashion event for Macy's last night--DJ'd by Solange of course.

Pics when you read on...

ESSENCE & Sean "Diddy" Combs saluted GRAMMY®-nominated artist Janelle Monae at the 2nd annual ESSENCE Black Women in Music event last night. The invitation-only, red-carpet event was hosted by ESSENCE.com Managing Editor Emil Wilbekin, Joy Bryant and Taraji P. Henson and it all went down at Playhouse Hollywood.

Janelle looked her usual cute self.

Letoya Luckett looked fab in a blue ruched dress and grey pumps.

Laurie Ann Gibson hit up the event.  I guess she and Diddy really kissed and made up.

Toccara looked uber fab in this light grey fitted long sleeved dress.  Loving the hair too.  She's looking great these days.

Not loving this dress on Melanie Fiona but I'm not even sure who could have actually pulled it off.

Diddy's looking dapper as usual.

Anthony Hamilton hit up the event.

So did Mary Mary.

Oh...so Joy Bryant didn't get the memo this was a dressier-than-this occasion?

Leona Lewis rocked yet another mini top and pencil skirt look.  Similar to the one she wore the other night.  Can't decide if I'm loving it.

Shaun Robinson donned her all-black for the event.

And over in NYC, Solange DJ'd for the Macy's Pop Up Store event at a private location last night:

It was for the Macy's Bar III Brand & Pop Up Store launch.

I see she's still got her Patraesque braids.

Very cute outfit for spring though.

Angela Simmons and her blonde 'do were there too.

Cute.
