DWTS? Tony stands up for Bristol

BristolTony1122.jpg
Critics may claim Bristol Palin didn?t deserve to make it to the finals on Dancing With the Stars, but the young single mom has a defender in eliminated contestant Audrina Patridge?s pro partner, Tony Dovolani. ?I tell her to hold her head up high. She is not the one voting for herself, everybody else is!? Tony told In Touch at the American Music Awards in LA on November 21 about the 20-year-old, who will dance off against Kyle Massey and Jennifer Grey this week for the Mirror Ball trophy. ?The audience decided that she should go to the finals, so they?ve got nothing to complain about.? Nearly a month after he and Audrina were voted off the ABC dance competition series? 11th season, Tony believes Bristol is taking the pressure in stride. ?Everybody loves to bash her, so she has to deal with that much hatred,? Tony explained. ?I think she handles herself really well!? Watch Bristol and partner Mark Ballas hit the dance floor tonight at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.

Jay-Z is letting fans into his world with two major releases this month. He just published his book, "Decoded," in which he takes a closer look at his career, and on Monday (November 22), Hova is releasing a greatest-hits album, The Hits Collection, Volume 1.

The album features Jay's most memorable tunes, including "Big Pimpin'," "Hard Knock Life," "99 Problems" and his collabo with his superstar wife, Beyoncé, "03' Bonnie & Clyde."

But when MTV News caught up with Bey Sunday at a New York screening for her DVD concert special, "I Am ... World Tour," she admitted that "Bonnie & Clyde" isn't her favorite Jay-Z track.

"God, that's not my favorite, even though I like it," she laughed. "I can't tell you which one is my favorite. It's just too many. You're putting me on the spot!"

While the pair may be releasing fresh products at the same time, the singer insists there is no competition in the Carter-Knowles household.

"No absolutely not, [there is no competition]," she told reporters at the DVD event, going on to praise "Decoded." "That book is unbelievable, and I think we're all really proud of it. And this DVD [out this] Thanksgiving — it's the holiday season of everyone's [material] coming out."

The DVD shows a new, more intimate side of the usually private Beyoncé, and Jay-Z admits that his book also sheds new light on his persona and career. "A lot of people listen to music, but they don't really listen to it," he explained. "You may know the words and you may bop your head to it, but you don't really understand what you're singing."

Open the floodgates! It's Mega-Release Week, with Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Jay-Z, Ne-Yo, Ke$ha, My Chemical Romance and Lloyd Banks all dropping new albums. Stick with MTV News for everything you need to know about the brand-new music.

Leslie Nielsen Remembered By David Zucker

'Airplane!' and 'Naked Gun' producer/writer/director pays tribute to the actor, who died Sunday.
By Gil Kaufman

Relationships of Hollywood movie sets tend to be shallow, short-lived and mostly a put-on. But when producer/writer/director David Zucker, his brother, Jerry, and their partner Jim Abrahams cast Leslie Nielsen in their 1979 disaster spoof "Airplane!," they had no idea that they would not only provide a second life to a hard-working actor's career, but gain a true friend in the process.

(For photos of the late actor throughout his career, click here.)

David Zucker penned a loving tribute to Nielsen — who died on Sunday at age 84 due to complications from pneumonia — for the Hollywood Reporter on Monday, paying homage to a man he said he was barely aware of when he cast him in the classic comedy, but who came to be one of his favorite people.

"It was summer 1979, a full three weeks before the start of shooting for 'Airplane!' and our casting director had finally had enough. Lloyd Bridges, Robert Stack, Peter Graves and now Leslie ... who?" Zucker said of the career actors who'd been tapped to lampoon their on-screen personas for the film.

"At least audiences had heard of the first three, but this guy — it was true, when it came time to select an actor to play Dr. Rumack, my brother Jerry, Jim Abrahams and I remembered: 'This one guy, he's been in hundreds of television shows, and I think he played the captain of the Poseidon. What's his name?' Our research revealed that the actor's name was Leslie Nielsen. Jim, Jerry and I were thrilled when he agreed to meet, not because he was 'funny' but because of his long résumé of serious films and TV."

The trio thought Nielsen was "hysterical," saying his career of straight dramatic roles made him perfect for the role of clueless doctor Rumack. In fact, when they watched his earlier films they laughed, even if the movies weren't supposed to be funny.

"At our first meeting, he mentioned proudly that he had done an episode of 'M*A*S*H*.' We assured him we wouldn't count this brief comedy experience against him. But when he read the 'Airplane!' script, he 'got' its unconventional nature and offbeat style. We heard later that he told his agent, 'Take whatever they offer; I'd pay them to do this.'

"Arguably the best role was that of Dr. Rumack, played by the guy no one wanted or ever suspected would be funny, much less go on to have a second career starring in feature films as a goofball comic," Zucker continues. "Leslie was great in the role because he never 'winked' — let on that he knew he was in a comedy. This was essential to the style, and Leslie had a natural instinct for it."

They went on to an "Airplane!" sequel and a trio of "Naked Gun" movies and a "Police Squad!" TV series. And in all those projects, Zucker said he and his partners didn't have to shower Nielsen with praise to let him know he was nailing it. When he heard Zucker laughing during the take, Nielsen knew he'd nailed it.

"Tough to just sit there silently during 'Nice beaver!' "Zucker wrote of cracking up on set. "Offscreen, he wasn't so much of a joke or storyteller but a chronic prankster. The stories are legion about the fart machine, which he kept hidden and sprang on any hapless stranger who approached him. He used it on set, on talk shows, anywhere he could find a victim. One time, at a press junket in Charlotte, I remember watching Leslie let loose with the device on a crowded elevator, the other occupants squirming up against the walls in an effort to distance themselves. And just like the scenes we put him in, he never broke character, never let on that he knew he was being funny."

For a man who had spent his career playing it straight, Nielsen relished his newfound status as an "international comedy icon," treating it as a kind of prank he'd pulled on the rest of us.

Zucker said he always tried to find a slot for Nielsen in his movies as the years went on and Nielsen was always happy to oblige. And, invariably, he was the funniest part of each project.

"We invariably would get to discussing our history together, reminiscing a bit and renewing our good-natured debate about who the hell was luckier to have met the other, Leslie Nielsen or the Zucker-Abrahams-Zucker team," Zucker said of their later encounters. "The truth was, all of us knew how grateful we were to have each other in our lives, both professionally and personally, and we expressed it to each other often. Leslie was grateful for everything in his life (most especially his wife Barbaree), almost as though he didn't feel he deserved any of it. Maybe that's why he was so happy.   "And maybe that's why he was so good at making everyone else happy."

In Touch Exclusive:Jessica's engagement party!

Jessica1119.jpg Less than a week after In Touch exclusively confirmed her engagement, Jessica Simpson celebrated her upcoming nuptials with friends, family and, of course, her fianc, Eric Johnson, at her parents' Encino, Calif., estate on November 18. The bride-to-be's mother, Tina, threw a casual party with pizza and finger foods from La Loggia Italian Bistro and roses from Mark's Garden for 50 guests, including Jessica's sister, Ashlee, her brother-in-law, Pete Wentz, and her best friend, CaCee Cobb. "Jessica and Eric looked so happy," an insider tells In Touch. Not all was smooth sailing, however -- the singer, who along with her former football player beau arrived two hours late for the soiree, seemed anxious for guests' approval of her unique ruby engagement ring. "At one point, she asked one of the servers what she thought of the ring. When the server said it was beautiful, Jessica snapped, 'You don't mean that!'" the insider says. But all in all, the blond beauty enjoyed her celebration. "Jessica is in love," the insider adds, "and kept talking about her wedding plans and new life with Eric."

'Harry Potter' Composer Takes Us Inside 'Deathly Hallows' Score

'That's quite a challenge to know that every single note that you write will be heard,' Alexandre Desplat tells MTV News of global 'Potter' audience.

With "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1" continuing to rake in major box-office cash, the fan appetite for all things Potter has yet to be satisfied. Here at MTV News, we're doing our part to serve the public's Potter thirst by getting fans as close to the action as possible. First with juicy interviews and fun videos, and now with a few behind-the-scenes features that highlight the nuts and bolts of Potter filmmaking.

In this latest installment, we turn our attention toward what is heard, not seen: the film's score, created by celebrated and highly sought-after composer Alexandre Desplat. When MTV News caught up with the very busy man (in the past five years, he has composed scores for at least four films per year, including "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and "Fantastic Mr. Fox," to name a few), we talked about incorporating John Williams' very distinct theme into his own work and how the fantastical elements in the world of Potter allowed the introduction of new, unique instruments.

MTV: With so many projects on your plate, when do you sleep?

Alexandre Desplat: Well, because I was expecting your phone call, I was on the edge of actually taking a five-minute nap, because it's been a long day and I don't sleep much, honestly. It's a crazy life because I've always dreamed of being a film composer. I've never dreamed of being a concert composer or an opera composer; I wanted to work for movies, and now I have all these incredible projects coming towards me. ... And all these films, of course, they collide because they're late or they're early, and so I have no life. I just work 18 hours a day, every day. And I don't go on holidays. And so, I guess I will die young. [Laughs.]

MTV: In jumping on a "Harry Potter" film, which has had several different composers over the course of seven films, how do you go about incorporating John Williams' very distinct theme, while still making it your own?

Desplat: My education as a film composer, you can't not — if you like the orchestra like I do, if you are a symphonist like I am — you can't not listen to John Williams' work. So I knew, of course, his work on the "Harry Potter" films, on the early films that he did, and when it came to the theme, which is the old theme, it became just a conversation to have with the director where and how we could use it. And actually, there was not so many opportunities, just because this movie is different from the previous ones. It's not in Hogwarts anymore. It's not in the school, and they're now young adults. And the only moments where we could use it was when we wanted to refer to their childhood and to this loss of innocence, which is actually the main theme of this film. These three young adults are losing childhood, and they're moving forward to dangers and adulthood. So we've just very carefully used it here and there; not much, sadly. And actually, when I was thinking about the score and anticipating what I had to do, I was playing with this theme, because I really love it and I was happy to be able to arrange it differently.

MTV: In taking on a film like "Harry Potter" and its fantasy elements, does that enable you to bring in new musical sounds or sounds that you might not use normally? Do you have a favorite kind of unique instrument that you were able to bring in that you might not normally bring into a film score?

Desplat: Yes, there are two things that we tried to bring. It is a way of using a lot of strings, sometimes doubling the string orchestra, on top of the first one, with different lines or adding more weight to some lines. Some pieces are really literally handwritten by string players, on top, all together. Of course we use the brass and the percussion and all that. It doesn't make the sound louder, but deeper and more string-oriented. The other thing is a few elements here and there. I played some jazzy flute in a piece I wrote, and one of the percussion players, he plays this new instrument that was invented a few years ago, which is kind of in-between a steel drum and a -- what could I compare it to? -- and a gamelan that you play with your hands or with mallets. You can hear it in the "Lovegood" piece and it's also blending instruments, which I like to do, that you hear there in the score.

MTV: How many musicians did you work with on this undertaking?

Desplat: The London Symphony, which was at the peak of 105, I think. Recorded at Abbey Road Studios.

MTV: How was this experience different from the films you've done in the past?

Desplat: It was different because it was "Harry Potter," and "Harry Potter" is a global experience. It's not just a movie that your friends will see or just the French people will see or just the Brits will see. No, it's a global thing, and that's quite a challenge to know that every single note that you write will be heard. Even though I always try to make sure that my first listeners, who are actually the players and musicians who are going to perform, I want them to be challenged. I want them to respect what I write, so it's for them that I write before anything. Actors, of course, have been tailored to musically, and with the director. It's with them that I want to have this exchange, this musical bonding. So it's a big challenge to achieve, and again, it's number seven of the franchise, so it was a big thing for me.

Black Eyed Peas to Rock Super Bowl Halftime Show

We've got a feeling...that the Super Bowl halftime show is going to be a good, good time! Why? Because the Black Eyed Peas will be taking the stage during the big game.

"The black eyed peas are officially performing the superbowl halftime show in dallas...they just announced it on fox...happy thanks giving," group member will.i.am posted on his Twitter account Thursday.

It's been a good month for Fergie and her pals, who just picked up the American Music Award for best pop group, and now the Peas will be the first non-rock group to perform at the Super Bowl since Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake's infamous wardrobe malfunction during their performance back in 2004.

"They could have picked anybody...but it says something that they picked us," will.i.am told Rolling Stone.

The Black Eyed Peas are releasing their sixth album The Beginning Nov. 30 and will launch a world tour next year.

Irvin Kershner, best known for directing the "Star Wars" sequel "The Empire Strikes Back," has died at the age of 87.

The filmmaker passed away at his Los Angeles home after a long bout with an unspecified illness, his goddaughter Adriana Santini told French news service AFP on Monday.

Born in 1923 in Philadelphia, Kershner studied music, painting and photography before turning his focus to filmmaking in the early 1950s. He got his start directing documentaries in Iran, Greece and Turkey for the United States Information Service, then returned to the States to develop the TV series "Confidential File" and "The Rebel."

Kershner made his feature directorial debut with "Stakeout on Dope Street" in 1958 and went on to direct a number of well-known films, including 1960's "Hoodlum Priest" and 1966's "A Fine Madness," starring Sean Connery and Joanne Woodward.

In 1980, Kershner directed "Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back," the sequel to George Lucas's 1977 space-opera hit, arguably the series' best-loved and most critically acclaimed installment.

While "Empire Strikes Back" is certainly the film for which Kershner is most fondly remembered, he's also known for helming 1983's unauthorized James Bond film "Never Say Never Again" — which saw Sean Connery return to the role of 007 — and 1990's "Robocop II."

Kershner did a bit of acting in his day as well. He made his big-screen debut in Martin Scorsese's "The Last Temptation of Christ" in 1988, and also appeared as a filmmaker in the 1994 Steven Seagal vehicle "On Deadly Ground."

At the time of his death, Kershner was still actively working in photography. The Force was strong with this one.

Willie Nelson Arrested For Marijuana Possession

Legendary singer Willie Nelson was busted over the weekend in Texas for possession of six ounces of marijuana. Wait ... Willie Nelson smokes pot? Who knew.

Nelson’s tour bus pulled into a routine checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Tex. and in an astonishing feat of law enforcement, an officer noticed a familiar herb smell.

Hudspeth County Sheriff Arvin West said: “It’s kind of surprising, but I mean we treat him like anybody else." And by surprising, he probably means not at all.

Willie Nelson Pic

It wasn't Willie Nelson's first drug bust. Nor will it be the last.

As much of a joke as this sounds like, a criminal defense attorney in Austin says six ounces of pot could get Willie six months minimum and up to two years.

But Bruce Margolin, director of the L.A. chapter of NORML, thinks he has a defense that could spring the 77-year-old crooner by tracing the weed to Cali.

Specifically, Nelson can claim he forgot the California-grown pot was on the bus. The Golden State is cool with medicinal marijuana, after all. Stay tuned.

'Cowboys & Aliens' Director Jon Favreau Offers Trailer Play-By-Play

Favreau sits down with MTV News to talk about opening scene, villainous Harrison Ford and a 'mistake' fans found in the sneak peek.
By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz

"Iron Man" director Jon Favreau sure knows how to cut a trailer. Going back to his sneak peek for the first "Iron Man" — which brought down the house at that year's San Diego Comic-Con — to the debut of the highly anticipated "Cowboys & Aliens" trailer last week, Favreau seems to be an expert at getting fans into a frenzy.

Due in large part to the response from the trailer, and our own excitement for Favreau's upcoming flick, MTV News caught up with the man himself at his editing bay in Santa Monica, California, for a play-by-play look at his titillating teaser.

"This is new for me," Favreau said of commenting on his trailer. "I'm already doing a commentary track on a [trailer]. I'm in the middle of [editing] my director's cut."

Beginning with the first shot — in which a rough-and-tumble Daniel Craig wakes with a start to discover a mysterious metal band on his arm — Favreau addressed the challenge of melding two genres: Western and sci-fi.

"When you're doing a mash-up of two genres, if you play with either of them tongue-in-cheek, the combo is not going to be what's special," he said. "It allowed us to play Western pretty dead straight."

Also, that opening shot will likely be the film's opening sequence too. "It's the first shot — I'm in my director's cut, but right now, this is essentially how the movie starts," Favreau revealed, adding that the credit for that opening goes to executive producer Steven Spielberg. "The writers told me when Spielberg was developing the script, this was one of his big ideas, this [opening] image."

Another arresting image in the teaser is iconic actor Harrison Ford looking not-so-Harrison-Ford-like but rather grizzly and villainous. Favreau explained that he wants fans to see another side of their favorite actor, with shades of Han Solo and Indiana Jones.

"When Harrison comes into the movie, how do you separate him from everything he's done? How do you present him in a way that I, as a fan, would want to see him?" Favreau said of the challenge in having Ford portray a seemingly villainous character. "He was always this bastard with a big heart; that's the archetype I like for him.

"Everybody's got kind of a rough edge," Favreau added. "This is a genre film."

One more aspect to touch on, via hundreds of comments on the Internet, is a certain shot in which fans claimed that they could see a wire pulling an actor into the air; Favreau said that was no accident.

"When you see more about the way the aliens work, there is a device that they abduct people with that that is a practical element of," he explained. "It's not a mistake — we didn't miss the paint-out — but thanks to the people playing at home. If you could catch that, I'm very proud."

Favreau ended his first trailer play-by-play with a good-natured "thank you" to all the fans.

"We're working hard. Thanks to all of you for putting wind in our sails," he said. "I'm glad you liked what we put out there."

Check out everything we've got on "Cowboys & Aliens."

Nicki Minaj's 'Last Chance' Gave Natasha Bedingfield 'Goose Bumps'

British singer talks about her Pink Friday collabo with the Queens MC.

Very few MCs are touching Nicki Minaj when it comes to stacking collabos in 2010. However, the pink-tressed raptress recently scored a team-up that was unexpected, even for her: a track with British songstress Natasha Bedingfield.

The singer explained to Billboard.com that although she may be known Stateside as the crooner behind the delicate pop anthem "Unwritten," she's well-versed in the hip-hop game. (Incidentally, the pop song became the theme of MTV's "The Hills," a show that counted Minaj among its fans.

"With Nicki, I come from London and we've got a heavy influence in hip-hop," Bedingfield said. "She called me and was like, 'I'd love for you to sing on this. I'm a huge fan,' and I was instantly like, 'I'll do this.' "

Bedingfield gushed that the lyrics Minaj penned made an instant impression on her. In another ironic twist of fate, the songbird laid down her "Last Chance" contribution in the lab of another Minaj collaborator, Eminem, while on the road in Detroit. Bedingfield added that she picked up on the Motor City luminary's energy.

"I heard the song she'd written and it gave me goose bumps. I was like, 'I've got to be on that,' " she recalled. "I was in Detroit, doing some promotion, so I went into Eminem's studio and it was amazing, really catching off Eminem's vibe. He wasn't there, but his studio is great."

Fans can check out Minaj and Bedingfield's collaboration on the lyricist's recently released Pink Friday album, while the songbird's forthcoming album, Strip Me, will be available on December 7.

What do you think of Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday debut? Let us know in the comments!

Kanye West Makes Fantasy Real With Secret NYC Show

NEW YORK — Kanye West is nothing if not a showman, and on Tuesday, the rapper celebrated the release of his fifth studio album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, with a performance that was as daring and dashing as it was fraught with traces of the petulant MC of the past.

Shortly after midnight, West took to the stage at the Bowery Ballroom in Manhattan accompanied by Bon Iver's Justin Vernon and femcee/singer Teyana Taylor.

The trio launched into "Dark Fantasy," the spirited opening number of 'Ye's new set.

Sporting a skin-tight dress, Taylor admirably belted out the chorus to the track and stuck around to ride shotgun with the G.O.O.D Music chief.

"New York City, make some noise," West told the gathering crowd after the opening selections. "Today, I'm gonna do My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy."

From there, West breezed through "Gorgeous," "Power" and "All of the Lights," the latter of which was a rumbling effort.

Nicki Minaj joined Yeezy on stage for some album-release unity when the DJ spun "Monster," sans Jay-Z.

Rick Ross arrived onstage for the Bink-produced "Devil in a New Dress."

When West teased the first few chords of "Runaway," the crowd — which included Diddy, music executives Lyor Cohen and Sylvia Rhone, ?uestlove, comedian Aziz Ansari and Selita Ebanks — erupted with approval.

The dramatic rendition was easily the night's highlight and featured artist Pusha T looked possessed on the microphone. Meanwhile, West was like a mad scientist pounding away on his MPC machine, creating musical backdrops to match almost each song.

After over an hour of performing, Yeezy closed the proceedings with a stirring, slowed-down rendition of the song "Lost in the World," the song he's slated to perform at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday.

He reappeared on stage shortly after for an encore and powered through brief versions of "Christian Dior Denim Flow" and "Can't Tell Me Nothing."

Although he finished with "Good Life," it may have been the defiance of "Can't Tell Me Nothing" that stuck with 'Ye after the performance, when he spoke to the crowd.

"As you know, it's been an extremely hard year for me," he began. "But getting back to music, G.O.O.D. Fridays, and the album ... I never thought I'd say this, I wanna thank the magazines for perfect scores across the board. I always felt like I could do anything.

"To do 100,000 digitally," Ye continued, remarking on his first day tally in sales from Monday. "And slated to do 600,000 the first week. I'm not here to do mother----ing politics. I'm here to make music. I'm not here to talk in no interviews; no one ask me any stupid f---ing questions."

Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake: Quitting Twitter for Charity

Giving up one of the easiest forms of mass communication for a good cause, a handful of celebs have decided to pull the plug on their fan-packed Twitter and Facebook accounts for a new campaign called Digital Life Sacrifice.

Doing so on Wednesday (December 1), which is World AIDS Day, Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake and Usher are among the stars helping Alicia Keys and her Keep A Child Alive Charity through the joint effort.

With plans to sign back on once $1 million is raised through text message donations, the cash will help families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India.

Talking about the mission, Alicia said, "It's so important to shock you to the point of waking up. It's not that people don't care or it's not that people don't want to do something, it's that they never thought of it quite like that."

"This is such a direct and instantly emotional way and a little sarcastic, you know, of a way to get people to pay attention," Miss Keys added.

Meanwhile, co-founder of Keep a Child Alive Leigh Blaketold, "We're trying to sort of make the remark: Why do we care so much about the death of one celebrity as opposed to millions and millions of people dying in the place that we're all from? It's about love and respect and human dignity."

'Twilight Saga: Eclipse' DVD -- Watch An Exclusive Clip Here!

We have a preview of the 'tent scene,' including hilarious commentary by Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
By Kara Warner

Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart in "Eclipse"

All right Twilighters, have we got a Thanksgiving treat for you! While "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" DVD doesn't come out until December 4, MTV News is delighted to present an exclusive clip from the highly anticipated release — complete with commentary from Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart!

This isn't just any clip either. Summit has kindly bestowed upon us a juicy little snippet from the fan favorite "tent scene."

In this clip, fans get to see the heated exchange between Edward (Pattinson) and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) as they discuss how Jacob will have to get into a sleeping bag with Bella (Stewart) in order to keep her warm and save her from freezing to death. Edward, of course, is not at all pleased with Jacob getting anywhere near Bella, but he must concede for Bella's sake. Jacob, taking advantage of the situation, revels in the fact that his warmer-than-normal body temperature means he can do for Bella what Edward can't.

The scene itself offers plenty of entertainment, but it's Pattinson and Stewart's hilarious voiceover commentary about the scene that really sells it.

"Slurp your coffee a little bit more," we hear Stewart say to Pattinson. "That's what the fans want."

"It's not coffee," Pattinson responds. "It's an Arnold Palmer," he says, attempting to pronounce it with an American accent.

"You're drinking an Arnold Palmer?" Stewart asks, sounding amused. "Having a little lemonade and iced tea?"

Meanwhile, Jacob has just crawled into Bella's sleeping bag, which draws Stewart and Pattinson back to the clip.

"God, he's so gross, so brazen!" Pattinson says of Lautner's werewolf. "I really don't like Jacob."

"Aww," Stewart says.

"Look at him and his tattoo and stuff. Ugh," Pattinson mock scoffs.

"He's just young and overzealous," Stewart says defending the young wolf.

"He's not!" Pattinson insists. "He does it on purpose. He's looking at me when he's saying this stuff."

"Yeah, that is weird," Stewart agrees.

"What is wrong with him? He's like, 'I don't even care about her, I just want to,' " Pattinson trails off.

"Look at him cradling!" Stewart points out, which provokes a burst of laughter from Pattinson. "His little head nooked in there," she adds.

"You look like you're milking him," Pattinson says as both "Twilight" actors break out laughing.

A terrific tease, and if that little sneak peek doesn't make you want to pre-order that DVD now, we don't know what will.

What do you think about the clip? Stewart and Pattinson's commentary? Tell us in the comments!

Check out everything we've got on "Eclipse."

With another Thanksgiving upon us, celebrities are in the giving spirit. On Tuesday night, Chris Brown and Bow Wow kicked off some pre-Turkey Day festivities with a free concert for their Atlanta-area fans.

Decked out in a slate-gray suit and white kicks, Breezy rocked tracks like his Graffiti joint "I Can Transform Ya," flanked by similarly dapper backup dancers as he turned out his signature athletic choreography.

The "Deuces" singer said he was down to gift concertgoers with a high-octane performance just in time for the holidays.

"It was fun, I had a great time," Brown told MTV News. "I love giving back to the fans and everybody who got to come out who really don't get a chance to come out and go to concerts and things like that."

Also at the event, which was organized by beatsmith Polow Da Don and featured a carnival and turkey giveaway, was Breezy's homey and fellow hitmaker Bow Wow. The Cash Money MC said he didn't need any convincing to rock the crowd alongside his "Shortie Like Mine" collaborator — especially if it meant bringing some holiday cheer to deserving fans.

"It was only right that I came out, supported the homey," Bow said. "He called me, wanted me to come out, perform the record, shut it down, and I told him it was nothing. And on top of that, it was for a positive cause."

Coming down the pike from Breezy is the follow-up to Graffiti, which features the single "Yeah 3X." The singer updated fans about the project in September.

"I'm putting out singles a lot right now, so everything's coming together. But I definitely am gonna to say this and plug it quick: The name of my album is Fame, so make sure you check it out," he said during a stop at an Austin, Texas, radio station.

What are your Thanksgiving plans? Let us know in the comments!

DWTS finale: Just two dances left!

DWTS_jennifer1123.jpg
There are just two dances left before this season?s winner of Dancing With the Stars is crowned and after last night?s performances, the jury is still out on who will win: Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough, Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer or Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas. Jennifer and Derek finished at the top of the leaderboard (with a perfect 60 out of 60) for their pasa doble and energized freestyle that paid homage to Dirty Dancing. While everyone expected a dance to ?The Time Of My Life,? Jennifer explained on air that she wanted to do something fresh with Derek.

?What was so fun was we had a nod to it [Dirty Dancing] and it was like guess what? That was Baby, this is now,? Jennifer revealed after the show. Despite a perfect score, and the possibility of winning the whole thing, Jennifer is not dusting a spot for the mirror ball trophy just yet. ?I don?t think of that,? she laughs. ?It?s bad juju.? One thing is for sure. Jennifer accomplished what she set out to do with the show - make her daughter proud. ?I think she is pretty fond of me at the moment,? she smiles. ?She loves the show and has been an incredibly sweet supportive kid, so understanding. When I say, ?sorry, I just want to cuddle up and watch a movie with you or just hang out,? she says, ?it?s okay mom, I?ll be waiting for you when you are done.?? And after tonight?s finale, win or lose, Jennifer has family and not dancing on her mind. ?I am invigorated to lay down, do nothing but cook for my family,? she tells In Touch. ?Just be with my kid and husband.?

Kate Gosselin on Troubled Kids: The Pressure is Getting to Them!

In the wake of two of her children getting expelled from school, Kate Gosselin went on record, discussing the situation personally for the first time with ET.

Asked if Collin and Alexis Gosselin were in fact expelled, she said, "Two of my kids, no, are being tutored at home, with a teacher who is working closely with our kindergarten teachers in school, doing the identical curriculum."

So basically ... they were kicked out.

Shill

Kate says life in the spotlight is hard for the kids.

The-recently divorced reality star says that, "All the pressure was getting to them," explaining, "You have a lot of the divorce anger mixed in with that."

"The goal is to get them back into school as soon as possible," she adds.

But will their deep-rooted rage issues and bullying tendencies subside?

Kate also discussed the rumor that her upcoming TLC show, Twist of Kate, had been canceled. Kate says that no, "We're sort of still trying to shape it [into] what it needs, what is going to be fun. So no, it's not canceled."

Fortunately for the kids, Thanksgiving came and went without incident.

"We were able to work out the holiday time peacefully," she said of splitting time with her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin. "So I had the first half, he had the second half, and, we just take it year by year, and holiday by holiday."

Kate and the kids appear on a Kate Plus Eight special Sunday on TLC.

So it goes for the diva facing financial ruin ...

'King's Speech' Star Colin Firth Talks Awards-Season Love And 'Dumb Luck'

2010 best actor nominee looks poised for another Oscar nod.
By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz

Colin Firth in "The King's Speech"
Photo: The Weinstein Company

For the second year in a row, Colin Firth finds himself at the center of awards-season chatter. And after losing out on a best actor Oscar for "A Single Man," the 50-year-old actor has again established himself as one of the frontrunners in that category, thanks to his turn as the stammer-afflicted King George VI on the verge of Britain's entry into World War II in "The King's Speech."

It seems Firth is an actor at the top of his game, but to hear him tell it, it's as much a matter of good fortune as it is great talent.

"It's just dumb luck," he told MTV News at the Toronto film festival in September. "That's all: Just getting a crack at it. Sometimes you just take roles to stay in the game or pay bills and hope the good ones are going to come along.

"I was never in a world of perfect choice, and now I feel like I've had a couple of real plums landing in my hand," he added.

It was at fall film festivals in Toronto and Telluride, Colorado, as critics first began to catch screenings of "King's Speech," that it became clear we'd still be talking about Firth's performance come awards season. He's been faithfully making the publicity rounds ever since, and as he told us when we chatted earlier this month in New York, he's not bored with the experience.

"Funnily enough, I find it easier than many things," he said. "There are so many angles you can approach it from, to do with the way people are reacting to it to the surprises we've had along the way to nuances about the actual history itself. I think this has a lot of mileage in it.

"It's been very gratifying for audiences to have howls of laughter and be open to crying," he continued. "To see that happening in the same film is a triumphant feeling. When you're in Telluride, you can put it down to altitude — one glass of wine amounts to 10. So we had to test it at sea level as well to see if people enjoyed it, and they did."

Jamie Lynn Spears: Moon Boot Babe

She certainly has stayed out of the spotlight for quite some time, but the paparazzi finally caught up to Jamie Lynn Spears on Friday (November 26).

Clad in short-shorts and a pair of moon boots with knee length gym socks, the former ?Zoey 101? star looked rather serious as she was spotted heading into a friend?s house in Kentwood, Louisiana.

In recent news, earlier this month it was reported that Ms Spears and baby daddy, Casey Aldridge, called it quits on their relationship again.

A source told press, "Jamie Lynn got fed up with Casey's immature behaviour. She thought he'd changed - that's why she got back together with him. But he's still the same old guy."

Who Won 'Dancing with the Stars'?

Who Won 'Dancing with the Stars'?

After a season of controversy and surprise, Dancing with the Stars crowned its 11th winner Tuesday night. With the competition coming down to Jennifer Grey, Kyle Massey and Bristol Palin, tensions were running high before the big news was announced. So, who took home the mirror ball trophy?

It was the original dirty dancer, Jennifer Grey!

Grey, 50, and partner Derek Hough (now a three-time champ) came out on top, leaving Massey and Palin in second and third place, respectively.

"I didn't think I was going to compete tonight—and I'm really glad I did!" Grey said, referring to a slipped disc that almost kept her off the floor.

Palin held her head high as she was eliminated. "I have so many good memories from this competition," the young mom said. "It's definitely been such a life-changing experience. I've definitely had the time of my life."

Adding to the drama of the season, ABC confirmed that, just hours before the finalists took to the floor on Tuesday, they had encountered some problems with the at-home voting system.

"Due to a record amount of activity, some viewers reported experiencing difficulties registering their votes for the Dancing with the Stars finale, which affected each finalist equally. The issue was promptly addressed and voting lines remained open online until 11:00 a.m. ET on abc.com," a DWTS production rep said in a statement.

Lindsay Lohan Sets Out for Thanksgiving in LA

While it wasn't what she was looking for, Lindsay Lohan has been granted a 15-hour pass to leave the Betty Ford sober living house for Thanksgiving.

The "Mean Girls" star, who was spotted being picked up by her assistant Eleonore on Thursday morning (November 25), has been required to stay in Los Angeles rather than getting her hoped-for trip to chow down with mom, Dina, and sister, Ali, in Long Island.

Instead, LiLo will be celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday by having a get-together with numerous friends and her father, Michael Lohan.

According to TMZ, Lindsay is set to make the two hour drive from Palm Springs to Los Angeles with plans to return to her court-ordered program later the same night.
